Recently I've been able to catch a little view of the audio world through the eyes of some friends here on TuneLand. It's fascinating to see the industry taking shape with "some thing old, some thing new". It seamed to me that it might take a while for high end to get out of a bad sounding funk. It really was getting to the point that I was having to grit my teeth and shut my ears when the words high end audio was being said. "I am part of this" ate away at me being and my skin would crawl at the sound of another show. OH no!! what can these poor people have done to deserve such terrible treatment. As bad as this was to go through I had hopes that some peeks of light would begin to show before my ears dried up and died.

Then, as if the good fairy of sound stopped by, I started to notice signs of life creeping it's way out of the ashes of ruins. Air started to move and sound was starting to be given birth to the land of listening again. It's true I shouted as I received air waves of the industry, that I so love, is coming back to life.

Skeptic as I have become I'm not willing to forgive the dark side of sound, at the same time "what if it is true", "what if there is life in high end yet". I will cross my figures and put my cartridge underneath my pillow tonight hoping that I will wake up tomorrow and I will hear people talking about good sound again.

Is low mass really catching on? Oh, I hope so.
